A barista has revealed how to know whether your server is flirting with you or not.

In a video posted to his TikTok account, a server going by the name @boybellers showed his followers what to look out for during their next visit.

Showing one of the chain’s cardboard cups to the camera, he explains that a barista will scribble out parts of the warning sign, leaving a cheeky message for the customer if they like them.

So instead of it reading, ‘Careful, the beverage you are about to enjoy is extremely hot’, it will say something cheeky instead.

In the clip, the barista says: “If you’re ever wondering if your barista is flirting with you, this is how to find out, right.

“So a normal cup will say, ‘’Careful the beverage you are about to enjoy is extremely hot’, but this is what we do.

“I’m gonna show you what I made earlier, Art Attack style.

He then reveals his annotated cup, which now says, ‘Careful, you’re extremely hot’.

He adds: “Check your cups, guys.”

But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this approach taken before. Oh no.

Last year, a female customer got the surprise of her life when she spotted the exact same message on her cup.

Ashley Wilkins was at her local Starbucks when her barista took a shine to her and decided to take a punt at love.

In a video posted to her TikTok account, Ashley shows the cup — which says ‘SECRETE MESSAGE’ (sic) with an arrow pointing down — to the camera.

And what would you know, where the warning about the cup’s contents would usually be found, the server had got a little creative and changed it to: “Careful, you’re extremely hot.”

And despite viewers pointing out that the mystery man had spelt ‘secret’ incorrectly, Ashley didn’t let it put her off.

She said: “I didn’t even realise it was spelled wrong cause I was just [mind-blown emoji].”

What a world we live in, eh?
